Shadow Escape
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Shadow Escape is developed and published by Roi Avram (AVRAMAN). This policy explains what data the app handles, what it sends elsewhere, and what it does not do. It covers the Android and iOS versions of the app. By using Shadow Escape, you agree to this policy.
The short version
Shadow Escape does not ask you for any personal information, and it has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of its own. Your scores, currency, unlocked items and settings are stored only on your own device. The one thing that leaves your device is the data used to show advertisements, described below.
Data stored on your device
The game saves your progress locally, using your device's own app storage. This includes:
- High scores for each game mode, and lifetime statistics
- In-game currency balances and which cosmetic items you own and have equipped
- Daily-reward progress
- Your sound and haptics settings
None of this is transmitted to us or to anyone else. We cannot see it. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
Advertising
Shadow Escape shows optional rewarded video advertisements. They are never forced: an ad is only shown after you choose to watch one, in exchange for continuing a run or doubling the in-game currency you earned. There are no banner ads and no ads between screens.
Advertising is provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may collect and process:
- Your device's advertising identifier
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, and app version
- Your IP address, and the approximate location derived from it
- Interactions with the advertisement, such as views and clicks
Google uses this to select advertisements, measure their performance, and prevent fraud, in line with its own policies. We do not receive any of it in a form that identifies you; we see only aggregate reporting such as how many ads were watched.
Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can read about how Google uses data from apps that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Consent (EEA, UK, and similar regions)
If you are in a region that requires it — such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland — Shadow Escape shows you a consent form, provided through Google's User Messaging Platform, before any advertisement is requested. It lets you choose how your data may be used for advertising.
You can decline. Declining does not lock you out of anything: the game is identical, and where consent has not been given, advertisements are shown on a non-personalised basis instead. Your choice is remembered and can be changed later from the same form.
Your choices
- Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads lets you delete or reset your advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalisation.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking controls whether apps may request to track you. Shadow Escape works exactly the same if you decline.
- Not watching ads at all is always an option. Every advertisement in the game is opt-in, and nothing in the game is locked behind one.
What Shadow Escape does not do
- It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any account details.
- It has no analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry.
- It does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, files, or precise location.
- It contains no in-app purchases.
- It does not sell or share personal information.
The only permission the app declares is internet access, which exists solely to load advertisements.
Children
Shadow Escape is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising requests are not flagged as child-directed. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, please contact us and we will address it.
Data retention
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Data held on your device is removed when you uninstall the app. Data processed by Google for advertising is retained under Google's own retention policies, linked above.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change — for example if analytics or a different ad provider are ever added — this policy will be updated and the date at the top will change. Material changes will be noted in the app's store listing release notes.
